The Government of Pakistan through its High Commission in Sri Lanka is awarding Jinnah Scholarships to bright Sri Lankan students every year. The Scholarship Programme was initiated in 2006 and since then it has benefitted over 2000 Sri Lankan students.
The scholarships are named after the great statesman and leader of the Sub Continent, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who is the founder of Pakistan.
The scholarships are awarded on merit basis. Under this programme, each successful student receives stipend of SL Rs. 50,000 as assistance for one year to pursue their studies.
The applications for Jinnah Scholarships are invited through newspapers’ advertisements.
