“Youm-e-Istehsal” observed by Pakistan High Commission
The Pakistan High Commission observed “Youm-e-Istehsal” to mark Indian Illegal and unilateral actions of 5th August 2019 in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) on 5th August, 2022.
In his remarks, the High Commissioner of Pakistan, H.E. Major General (R) Umar Farooq Burki HI (M), highlighted marking of thirty-six months since India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5th August 2019, by abrogating articles 370 and 35A of its constitution, thereby not only violating the UNSC resolutions but its very own constitution by depriving the territory of IIOJK of its special status. He said that Pakistan honors Kashmiris and salutes their indomitable spirit in their just struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination.
Pakistan, through its political and diplomatic support, will continue to sensitize the international community, exposing human rights violations of India in IIOJK. Pakistan has always stood by and will stand by the people of Kashmir as we do not consider them separate from Pakistan. It is our national resolve that Pakistan will leave no stone unturned to help our Kashmiri brethren to get their right of self-determination.
