High Commissioner of Pakistan handed over food items to Hon. Minister Mr. Piyal Nishantha De Silva

0 The High Commissioner of Pakistan, Maj. Gen. (Retd) Muhammad Saad Khattak and Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Tanvir Ahmad visited Gangaramayan Temple in Colombo today.
The High Commissioner on behalf of the Government of Pakistan handed over food items to Hon. Minister Mr. Piyal Nishantha De Silva, State Minister of Women and Child Development, Pre-School & Primary Education, for distribution in flood relief areas of Sri Lanka and Covid-19 relief supplies were also provided to police affectees, which were received by the SSP. Hon. Minister Mr. Mohan Priyadarshan De Silva, State Minister of Production and Supply of Fertilizer and Regulation of Chemical Fertilizer and Insecticide Use, Mr. Dulan Hettiarachchi Consultant Ministry of Fertilizer, Sr. DIG Mr. Deyshabandu Thennakoon, SSP Mr. Roshan Rajapaksa Director of Special Achievement & Environment, Dr. Asela Wickramasinghe, Senior Political Advisor to Sri Lanka/Maldives and former President advisor to Maldives were also present on the occasion.
During the visit, High Commissioner emphasized on the importance of enhanced collaboration between the two brotherly countries for the uplift of our people. He further said that Pakistan is committed to provide continued support to Sri Lanka.
The High Commissioner expressed his special gratitude to Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Chief Incumbent Dr. Kirinde Assaji Nayaka Thero, who presided over the proceedings and was the Guest of Honour at the event.
