Pakistan’s Army Chief to visit Sri Lanka
Army Chief of Pakistan, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, is visiting Sri Lanka on the invitation of Commander of Sri Lankan Army from 15 to 17 January 2018.
During his stay in Sri Lanka, General Bajwa will hold discussions on matters of professional interests with his counterpart, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake. He will also call on top political and military hierarchy including President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe in order to discuss and dilate upon issues of regional security and matters pertaining to mutual interest.
A get together of serving Pakistan Staff College and National Defence University qualified Sri Lankan army officers is being arranged during visit to provide opportunity among alumni members of prestigious Pakistan Military institutions to interact with COAS of Pakistan Army.
