Young Students key to make Sri Lanka knowledge hub of South Asia: Mrs. Shakeel
The spouse of Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, Mrs. Syeda Asghari Shakeel, said that the foundation of any successful society is based on sound education as it brings economic and social prosperity, which consequently enables them to run a modern society. She said that young students can play a pivotal role in making Sri Lanka the knowledge hub of South Asia.
Mrs. Shakeel said this during her brief remarks at an Award ceremony hosted by a Colombo based Montessori School last evening at Sri Lanka – Japan Cultural Centre, Colombo.
During the ceremony, Mrs Shakeel distributed prize and certificates to the successful students who won prizes in different categories.
Principal of the school Mrs. Hafsha Fazlullah delivered the vote of thanks and brief the audience about the future activities of the school.
Several cultural and fun-filled performances showcasing young students’ captivated the audience.
