Sri Lanka based Pakistani Community Celebrated Eid Festival in Colombo

The Pakistani Community based in Sri Lanka celebrated the Eid Festival, at an event organized by the High Commission of Pakistan, last evening at a local hotel.

The High Commission of Pakistan annually organizes Chaand Raat Mela on the eve of Eid ul Fitar for the Pakistani Community based in Sri Lanka. The event was attended by a large number of participants representing the cross section of Pakistani community based in the Island.

The participants exchanges greetings & wished Chaand Raat and Eid Mubarak to each others on the sighting of the Shawwal moon. The Women and girls attending the event decorated their hands with mehndi (henna), and selected colourful bangals for the eid festival.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka HE Maj Gen ® Qasim Qureshi and Mrs Qureshi also graced the event.
