Pak-India Social Media Mela began in Karachi on Friday
Celebrities from Pakistan and India are taking part in the event‚ the objective of the mela is to provide a platform to bring a social change through the youth
The two-day second Pak-India Social Media Mela‚ 2012 begins in Karachi on the today(13th July) morning at 9:00 am. It has been organized by a non-governmental organization Peace Niche.
The objective of the conference is to provide a platform to the participants for a mutual dialogue discourse and creative expression‚ to bring a social change through the artists‚ to develop a community of the civic-minded citizens.
This event aims also to bring some of the finest minds in the social media together in order to nurture a dialogue‚ through leadership and critical engagement with the journalists‚ activists‚ entrepreneurs and creative professionals from both the countries.
Nearly‚ eleven celebrities from India and thirteen from Pakistan arel taking part in the event. They hail from the cross-sections of the society like show-biz‚ media‚ communication‚ entrepreneurs‚ education‚ literature‚ sports‚ besides the government departments and the United Nations Development Programme.
