The law and order situation in the country‚ particularly in Karachi was reviewed at a high-level meeting in Karachi. President Asif Ali Zardari presided.
The Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik briefed the meeting on measures‚ taken to overcome heinous crimes‚ maintain law and order situation and ensure prevalence of peace in the society.
The meeting decided to appoint Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari as the Sindh Police Inspector General. Earlier‚ he served as the Director General of Federal Investigation Agency.
