PM assures to protect national dignity‚ respect of institutions
The Prime Minister says the government respects judiciary and there is no confrontation among the institutions
Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has assured that the government will protect and preserve national dignity and respect of the Parliament and other institutions.
He was speaking in the National Assembly after discussion on restoration of NATO supplies and passage of Contempt of Court Bill.
The Prime Minister said NATO supply routes were reopened on the recommendations of the Defense Committee of the Cabinet in the light of the apology from the United States. He said NATO is a group of fifty countries and we cannot live in isolation. He however‚ stressed that the government is fully aware of its obligations and national interests and priorities.
The Prime Minister said the government will welcome discussion on this issue in the Parliament.
