PNS ASLAT REPLENISHMENT VISIT TO COLOMBO

Pakistan Navy Ship “ASLAT” visited Port of Colombo from 05-06 Mar 2025 on a replenishment visit on its return voyage from Bali, Indonesia where it participated in multinational naval exercise Komodo-25 organized by the Indonesia Navy.
Pakistan Navy Ships are regularly deployed under Regional Maritime Security Patrol (RMSP) to fulfil the international obligation for maritime security, ensure freedom of navigation in high seas and safe guard global commons. Its participation in Exercise Komodo-25 underscores Pakistan Navy’s commitment to international maritime collaboration. Prior to the exercise, PNS Aslat also visited Colombo, Sri Lanka.
During the port call, the Commanding Officer of PNS Aslat met Commander Western Naval Area and Director General Operations at Sri Lanka Navy Headquarters and discussed matters of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral relation in all spheres. During its return voyage, PNS Aslat conducted “PASSAGE Exercise” with SLN Ship Samudura, aimed to enhancing the interoperability and mutual coordination between the two navies.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan enjoy brotherly relations, which have strengthened over the period of time. Such visits provided ample opportunity to Pakistan and Sri Lankan Naval officers and men to learn through professional interactions with their counterparts and to enhance interoperability and mutual coordination.
