High Commissioner of Pakistan visit to Mannar, Northern Province
High Commissioner of Pakistan Maj. Gen. (R) Faheem Ul Aziz HI (M), visited Mannar on 24th June 2024, to attend the event organized by Muslim Hands Sri Lanka. During his visit, the High Commissioner interacted with the local farmers of the area. The High Commissioner said, that the productive agriculture sector may help the local communities to become self-reliant. He appreciated the Muslim hands’ upcoming project to facilitate Sri Lankan people by providing fencing, drip irrigation system, seeds and quality fertilizers to needy families, who are holding piece of land, is highly productive and encouraging at the same time.
The High Commissioner said, that Pakistan is an agrarian economy and it has lots to offer when it comes to the agriculture sector. Pakistan has also extremely talented pool of agricultural experts and professionals in the field of agriculture. The High Commissioner also distributed ration bags among needy farmers and their families.
Later the High Commissioner also called on Rear Admiral Damian Fernando, RSP, USP. rcds, Commander North Central Naval Area, and visited the Adam’s Bridge. The High Commissioner also interacted with other relevant defense and government officers during his visit to the northern part of the Island.
